A couple weeks ago my boyfriend treated me to an Urban Decay Master class for my birthday. I have to say it was one of the best things I've done and I loved every minute of it. (Makeup addict here) 50 euro paid for the class and the best part is I then got to pick out 50 euro worth of makeup to go home with and got a lovely little goodie bag full of more Urban Decay Products. If you get a chance take this class. Anyway, I wanted to share some of the tips that I learned while taking this class. Foundation Application
First start with a Setting Spray
Then apply your Primer
After applying primer dust face with a light coating of translucent powder
Then apply your foundation
After the foundation do another light dusting of translucent powder
And finally setting spray
Now I have an extremely oily Tzone especially during the summer months and I didn't believe that this would really work. Well 8 hours later my makeup still looked gorgeous and no dreaded shine. It really works. Under Eye Concealer
You should only be placing the concealer between the nose and where you eye starts. There is a little triangular shadow there. If you go all the way under your eye you can actually make yourself like weird and sickly which is not a good look. Mascara (my favourite)
Do your bottom lashes first (I always did the top)
Then do the top side of your top lashes, brushing down. I never thought to do the top of my lashes until this was said to me. If you only do the bottom you've only done half your lashes.
Then brush up and separate for those doll lashes you desire.
Smokey Eye
Pick your lightest colour and apply it to the crease only. Apply using a pat and swirl motion to prevent fallout.
Apply dark colour from lashes to crease using the same pat and swirl motion. Start light. You can always build colour if you need.
Line after and then mascara.
Eyeliner
Start in the middle of the eye and draw the line out with short quick strokes
Go back and do to the tear duct working from middle to duct with the same short strokes
(for cat eye) Using your water line as a guide put a little dot to use as a point of reference
Draw a little triangle and fill in
Go back and fill in the first line to desired thickness
I hope these tips help as they sure helped me. I was always horrible at eye liner but since learning to do it from the centre it has become so much easier.
