For someone who reads quite a lot (I do have some 240 plus odd books left on my kindle) I never really talk about books that have peeked my interest. At the moment however I am reading a set of books, I just feel I have to share. Now I am a huge Marilyn Monroe fan and have been for a long time. This means whenever a new book about her arrives on the 'scene' I jump on it like hot cakes. The Last Year In the Life of Marilyn Monroe Volume 1 and 2, and No City for Dreaming by Don O'Melveny are a must for any Marilyn fan. These three books show a completely new perspective on the last year of Marilyn's life. No longer is she a sad and lonely character grasping at threads to survive but a beautiful and driven young woman who was just going through a rough patch. These books show a myriad of characters and their entanglements leading to the shadowy night of her death. After reading this trilogy you'll be hard pressed to believe that Marilyn could ever have killed herself. Without giving to much away - it is an intriguing page turner and one not to be missed. I highly recommend you start it right away.
