Pet Hates that Others Love

Before I even begin I want to remind everyone that these are my opinions and my opinions alone. They could be wrong, they could be right. Or they could just be my opinion. Now - we all have things we absolutely love and things we absolutely hate, like mushrooms and spiders, and things we just don't understand. For me the below five fall into the 'I just don't get it' to strong dislike category.

Number 1) The Simpsons

I do not understand the popularity of this show. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I was not allowed to watch this show as a kid and only experienced it in my adult life, but I just don't get it. I can't grasp it's entertainment value. To me it just isn't that funny. (I know, gasp, quelle horreur)

Number 2) Anne Hathaway

I know there are many Hath-haters and I wouldn't go so far as to claim to be one, but I just don't understand her appeal. I find her acting to be mediocre at best and good-god those Award speeches were horrible.

Number 3) Les Miserables film 2013

I wanted to love this film, god I did. I mean it is my all time favourite musical. I would do severe bodily harm to get the chance to be in this show. But god in heaven, Tom Hooper you ruined something that was perfect. And shame on you Cameron Mackintosh for letting him. I will admit I am a purist but if it's not broke don't fix it. The actors chosen were done so poorly. The singing as a whole was horribly over acted and warbily. Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfield - enough already with the fake vibrato. The libretto was cut apart and destroyed and so much of what makes the story great was lost. I'm going to pretend this atrocious excuse for a film does not exist and cling to my concert versions, thank you very much.

Number 4) James Franco

I want to do nothing more than punch him in the face. He's too smug and so not hot!

Number 5) Breaking Bad

I just don't understand the appeal. The characters are so unlikable and someone really just needs to shoot Skylar. I will be so relieved when this show finishes, though I'm sure my boyfriend will just re-watch it start to finish for the hundredth time.
