As I reached the end of my Bobbie Brown Foundation Stick I started to contemplate trying a new foundation. Don't get me wrong, I love the Bobbie Brown foundation stick, (see my review here) but lately I just wasn't mad about the finish and how it looked after applying. It seemed no matter what tool I used (fingers, stippling brush, flat foundation brush, or beauty blender) I always looked a bit streaky which is not a good look. And on the tops of my cheeks where I am most dry, the product just seemed to settle and cake. Yuck!!! So as any savy beauty shopper does I turned to the internet and started reading any foundation review I could get my hands on. And after much deliberation I decided I would try Benefit Cosmetic's The Big Easy and popped into my local Benefit Counter. Lisa, my wonderful beauty adviser, helped me find the correct shade though I had to convince her that I'm paler than I look and then did a lovely look featuring other Benefit products I hadn't tried yet including 'Hoola' bronzer, 'Hervana' blush and lip-gloss and their new 'Roller Lash' mascara. She then gave me a small sample of The Big Easy to take home and try myself to see how I liked it. I've been using the product for a week now and will definitely be adding to my make-up bag for the summer. It is a lighter coverage, which is to be expected as it is technically a BB cream. Still it sets to a nice natural coverage and any problem areas can be covered with a little bit of Benefit's Boi-ing concealer. The formula starts as a lovely cream and sets to a powder finish. I will admit this did take some getting used to but applying with a damp Beauty Blender definitely helps control the product and leaves a lovely finish. Overall I have to say I quite like this foundation and will certainly be purchasing when my samples runs out. Until next time! PS My sample ran out and I went back to the last of my Bobbi Brown. It wasn't until I removed my makeup this evening after work that I noticed just how heavy the Foundation stick was. The Big Easy is so much lighter and I absolutely love that! Cakey makeup is just gross!!!!
